Visas
All visitors to Thailand must hold a passport that is valid for 6 months beyond the duration of your stay. Travelers are permittted one month visa-free visits, however citizens of certain countries will need to apply for a visa. Please reconfirm your visa statue by visit www.thai-la.net

For longer stay, a tourist visa valid for 60 days must be obtained from a Royal Thai Embassy or Consulate abroad.  Visitors can extend their stay for up to 30 days and applications should be made at the Immigration Department in Bangkok.

Customs
Maximum of 50,000 Baht in cash can be taken out of Thailand.

Antiques and Buddha images require export licences that may be obtained from the Bangkok Department of Fine Airts.

Carrying or Trafficking illegal drugs are extremely severe, ranging from long prison sentences to te death penalty.

The following may be taking into Thailand duty free:
         *  Alcohol - 1 liter of wine or spirits
         *  Tobacco - 200 cigarettes 
Etiquette/Dress Code
Visitors should never show disrespect to the Thai Royal Family. For Thai people, head is considered to be a special part of the body, therefore patting/touching someone on the head is not appreciated and it is also considered rude to use your feet to point to a person or object.

When visiting wats (temples), dress appropriate as a sign of respect ans wear extra modest clothes. When visiting Grand Palace, appropriate clothing such as long trousers and long skirt. Definitely no bare shoulder or knee. it is possible to borrow clothes if you are inappropriately dressed.
